CLEVER wins awards for Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Production Design, Best Sound, Best Music and Best Editing in the 18º Uruguay Film Critics Association Awards (FIPRESCI).
Montelona is an independent film production company based in Montevideo, Uruguay, founded in 2009 by Federico Borgia, Guillermo Madeiro and Pancho Magnou. Our main goal is to produce feature films and documentaries of a high artistic quality and strong authorial personality.
Studied sociology in the Universidad de la República, Uruguay. He participated in various activities within cultural management and produced radio shows, editorial projects and theater. He began in the audiovisual field producing short films, which eventually lead him to work on the medium-length fiction "Nunchaku", the first film by Montelona Cine. He has also produced one full length feature: "CLEVER" (Borgia/Madeiro) and three documentary television series: "Nosotros" ("Us") and "Nosotros Dos" ("Us Two", Pablo Abdala/Joaquín Peñagaricano) y "Primera Persona" ("First Person", Federico Veiroj).

Borgia and Madeiro received their Bachelor's Degrees in Communications from the Universidad Católica and have been working together since 2005. They have written and directed short films, music videos, experimental documentaries, one medium-length film "Nunchaku" and a full-length feature film, "Clever". This history they have working together has helped them forge a distinct style evident in their films. A number of their works have been exhibited and awarded at national and international levels.
